Senior Data Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Establish and prioritize the product backlog for data-centric projects, emphasizing measurable business results.

• Serve as a vital link between business stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and analytics teams.

• Oversee the development of data products utilizing Agile methodologies, facilitating sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stakeholder evaluations.

• Examine intricate business requirements and convert them into scalable data models and solutions.

• Spearhead the design and validation of reliable data models, ensuring superior data quality and consistency.

• Partner with Azure data platform teams to provide secure, efficient, and scalable cloud-based data solutions.

• Track and evaluate the performance of data products, ensuring alignment with KPIs and organizational objectives.

• Advocate for data governance, quality, and compliance practices throughout all phases of the product lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Over 6 years of experience in Data/Analytics/BI roles, including at least 3 years in a Product Owner or Business Analyst role.

• Comprehensive understanding of data modeling (relational, dimensional, and modern NoSQL/data lake concepts).

• Practical experience with Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Data Lake, etc.).

• Demonstrated ability to gather, document, and prioritize both business and technical requirements.

• Expertise in tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Azure DevOps/JIRA.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.

• Agile/Scrum certification is an advantage (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO/PM).
