This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, implement, and sustain a scalable and dependable data infrastructure within GCP.
• Develop and enhance data pipelines sourced from blockchain indexers to support our blockchain explorer, API, and analytics functions.
• Design data models that effectively address the unique privacy and cryptographic requirements of Aleo’s zero-knowledge network architecture.
• Take ownership of, develop, and refine APIs that deliver data directly to our mobile privacy wallets and external products.
• Oversee and enhance database technologies, with a particular emphasis on Postgres and BigQuery.
• Guarantee data quality, reliability, and observability through comprehensive monitoring, logging, and automated alerting systems.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to grasp requirements and provide high-performance APIs.
• Recognize opportunities for optimizing the performance and cost efficiency of data platforms.
• Employ infrastructure-as-code (Terraform and Helm) to deploy and manage data environments.
• Assist in defining the technical vision and future development of our data platform and architecture.
• Over 6 years of experience in a Data Platform, Data Engineering, or Core Backend role managing production data systems at scale.
• Strong expertise in Node.js / TypeScript for API development and Python for data scripting.
• Advanced SQL skills and extensive experience in optimizing relational databases (Postgres) and cloud data warehouses (BigQuery).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure automation, particularly Terraform and Kubernetes (GKE).
• Excellent communication abilities, with a proven history of taking complete ownership of critical technical projects.
