Senior Data Modeler, Snowflake

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and develop physical data models within Snowflake, with an emphasis on scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Convert conceptual and logical models into schemas, tables, and views compatible with Snowflake.

• Partner with data engineers to enhance ETL/ELT processes and data integration strategies.

• Ensure alignment of models and metadata with governance standards and tools, such as Collibra.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all modeling and transformation logic for traceability and compliance.

• Assist in the performance tuning and optimization of data pipelines.

• Collaborate in a distributed, global environment with both technical and business stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in a Data Modeler position or a similar role.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Snowflake physical data modeling and SQL.

• Familiarity with data integration and ETL/ELT principles; experience with tools such as dbt, Matillion, or Fivetran is advantageous.

• Background with metadata and data governance platforms, ideally Collibra.

• Knowledge of AWS services, especially S3, is a plus.

• Strong understanding of data modeling best practices (e.g., star schema, normalization, data vault).

• Capability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional setting.

• Exceptional communication and documentation abilities.

• Preferred: Background in pharmaceutical/life sciences data and regulatory frameworks.

• Familiarity with data quality tools such as Ataccama.
