This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including medical oncologists, research scientists, and engineers, to design and sustain clinical data models.
• Convert customer requirements and product inquiries into essential concept definitions and business logic for intricate models.
• Facilitate the integration of data models into workflows, applications, and data deliveries.
• Organize and normalize data from diverse sources, including Tempus curated data, EHR integrations, and laboratory systems.
• Develop and maintain knowledge bases centered around clinical concepts.
• Design and implement validation plans in collaboration with subject matter experts for new models and disease types.
• Actively monitor and support quality assurance and process enhancement initiatives.
• Assess the performance of production processes and suggest areas for improvement.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in oncology data modeling.
• Proven experience working with real-world data from multiple sources (e.g., curation workflows, EHRs, laboratory systems, claims, research datasets).
• Proficiency with modern ELT tools such as DBT for managing high-volume, high-velocity data warehouses.
• Familiarity with standard medical terminologies (e.g., SNOMED CT, RxNorm, LOINC, ICD-9/10).
• Clinical background (MD/DO, PharmD, PA, NP, RN, etc.) is a plus.
• Knowledge of next-generation sequencing data is a plus.
• Experience in real-world data analysis using Python or R is a plus.
• Involvement in professional organizations (e.g., OHDSI, AMIA) is a plus.
