Senior Data Intelligence Analyst – Health Equity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• The Senior Health Equity Analyst/Data Intelligence Analyst collaborates with end-users to define moderately to highly sophisticated business requirements, data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements that support enterprise data intelligence initiatives.

• Develops specifications for reports and analyses based on clinical and business needs, as well as the required or available data elements.

• Generates data sets, reports, ad-hoc requests, dashboards, and more.

• Performs data analysis to support a variety of analytical solutions.

• Composes moderately complex Structured Query Language (SQL) codes and queries, analyzing intricate problems and issues using data from both internal and external sources.

• Exhibits a strong grasp of report analysis and development. Manages the intake of data requests while seeking to understand business requirements.

• Utilizes knowledge of healthcare and critical thinking skills to analyze business requests and makes solution recommendations to address challenges.

• Delivers advanced report and data analysis in collaboration with team members, vendors, and other EIS department contacts; provides quantitative and qualitative data analysis, reporting patterns, insights, and trends to decision-makers.

• Engages in re-engineering operational workflows with end-users and business owners as needed.

• Possesses a solid understanding of build concepts, Epic migration paths, change control processes/governance, and ticket management procedures.

• Leads and assesses process and requirements analysis, including process mapping through current flow charts, documentation of future needs/plans, requirement gathering, stakeholder analysis, and specification collection for complex projects. Additionally, offers recommendations using current and projected data.

• Acts as the main contact for vendor support and assistance on larger and more complex projects, as well as in resolving intricate or critical issues within assigned areas. Manages relationships with external vendors.

• Independently provides leadership and guidance on quality assurance and testing initiatives, demonstrating the ability to lead teams through complex integrated testing processes. Manages testing projects as required.

• Contributes to strategic discussions by proactively identifying options along with their respective pros and cons with EIS team members and others.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience with SQL and proven proficiency with various query tools such as Python, R, Oracle, SAS, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Microsoft SQL, Tableau, etc.

• Experience developing Epic Inpatient Clarity reports.

• Practical experience conducting reporting analyses and creating custom reports.

• Familiarity with databases utilized in patient care, hospital administrative applications, and data warehousing technologies.

• Experience analyzing basic to moderately complex Clarity report requests, Reporting Workbench, and Radar build requests.

• Proven understanding of healthcare applications and the needs and priorities of patient care providers.

• Technical expertise in Reporting Workbench and Radar build, with the capability to teach advanced concepts related to them.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.

• Epic Clarity Certification is preferred (Epic Inpatient preferred).

• SQL Server certification is preferred.
