This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with program managers, subject matter experts, and end users to gather and clarify both business and functional data requirements.
• Document the requirements, data definitions, and business rules to ensure that technical teams comprehend the needs and their rationale.
• Convert stakeholder requirements into clear deliverables, such as requirements documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Continuously revisit and refine requirements as priorities and feedback change.
• Evaluate existing data workflows and business processes to pinpoint inefficiencies, delays, or manual workarounds.
• Assist in developing improvements that optimize operations and enhance data availability and usability.
• Ensure that analytics and reporting are aligned with the actual operations of the organization.
• Analyze integrated datasets to generate insights that inform operational and leadership decisions.
• Construct and maintain dashboards and reports utilizing Tableau or Qlik, prioritizing clarity and usability.
• Compose and validate SQL queries to aid in analysis, reporting logic, and data verification.
• Confirm that metrics are well-defined, accurate, and consistent across all reports.
• Collaborate with technical and QA teams to ensure that data outputs meet business expectations.
• Conduct high-level validation to verify that results make contextual sense, not just technical accuracy.
• Aid in identifying gaps, inconsistencies, or definition issues prior to data delivery to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including requirements specifications, data dictionaries, and report user guides.
• Clearly communicate findings to non-technical audiences, translating data into actionable insights.
• Proven experience in data analysis, business analysis, or analytics roles within complex or regulated environments.
• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering.
• Proficient SQL experience for querying, validating, and analyzing data.
• Practical experience with Tableau or Qlik (or similar BI tools).
• Ability to articulate data findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in working with healthcare or federal data environments (preferred).
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards or models (e.g., HL7/FHIR, OMOP), even at a conceptual level (preferred).
• Experience using Excel and/or Python (pandas) for advanced or ad hoc analysis (preferred).
• Understanding of data privacy and compliance considerations in regulated environments (preferred).
