Senior Data Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Saudi Arabia.

📋 Description

• Design and create intricate ETL/ELT and integration workflows utilizing tools such as: Informatica (PowerCenter / IICS / IDMC), Talend, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or similar enterprise solutions.

• Convert functional and non-functional requirements into scalable integration architectures.

• Develop reusable mappings, transformations, frameworks, and integration templates.

• Enhance integration jobs for handling large data volumes and strict batch / near-real-time processing windows.

• Diagnose and address performance bottlenecks throughout source, integration, and target layers.

• Implement data validation, reconciliation, and exception-handling mechanisms.

• Ensure alignment between source and target systems.

• Assist in the implementation and remediation of data quality rules.

• Offer L3 support for critical incidents and batch failures; conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.

• Maintain source-to-target mappings, technical design documents, and data lineage documentation.

• Ensure adherence to internal data governance and security standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–10+ years of experience in data integration engineering.

• Strong hands-on expertise with at least one major integration platform: Informatica (PowerCenter / IICS / IDMC), Talend, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or equivalent.

• Demonstrated experience with intricate transformations, workflow orchestration, parameterization, and reusable design.

• Proficient SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar).

• Experience with scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys, Airflow, or similar).

• Knowledge of API integration, messaging, and event streaming (Kafka, REST, SOAP).

• Experience in industries such as mining, metals, heavy industry, oil & gas, utilities, or other large industrial sectors is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with ERP (SAP) integration, MES, and operational systems is highly regarded.

• Previous experience in the GCC or Saudi Arabia is beneficial.

• Strong understanding of data lineage, audit requirements, and reconciliation frameworks.

• Awareness of data privacy, PII handling, and data classification standards.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to perform in high-pressure production environments.

• Effective communication with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

• Informatica or cloud integration certifications are highly advantageous.
