This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversees the execution of the data governance operating model, managing data and change requests throughout the organization.
• Establishes and upholds data governance policies, best practices, and standards for data quality.
• Develops and supervises data stewardship procedures to guarantee high-quality, well-documented datasets.
• Ensures that the scope of data governance initiatives aligns with the enterprise's strategic goals and priorities.
• Collaborates effectively to define policies and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Provides training and support to teams regarding data governance practices and data management protocols.
• Constructs data governance methodologies that incorporate enterprise and legal requirements for data privacy and protection.
• Works with internal analysts and teams to ensure reliable and governed data assets without directly managing analytics.
• Serves as a liaison across departments to interpret data needs and collaboratively establish requirements that ensure processes function across systems.
• Aids enterprise-wide initiatives to align metadata, data lineage, and data sharing processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, or related fields, and/or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Seven or more years of increasing responsibility in data management, including four or more years of experience in data governance management and related areas such as metadata management, data quality, and/or data stewardship.
• Proven expertise in data cataloging, data quality management, and data lineage.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
