Senior Data Governance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Implement and assist with enterprise Data Governance initiatives and governance processes from start to finish.

• Develop and uphold governance documentation, standards, and procedures.

• Conduct data analysis and profiling to pinpoint quality issues and areas for enhancement.

• Aid in metadata management by documenting and maintaining both business and technical metadata.

• Utilize AI-driven data governance tools to automate data classification and tagging, identify sensitive or non-compliant data, and facilitate governance workflows.

• Oversee data assets to ensure compliance with governance policies and suggest corrective measures.

• Assist in the implementation and validation of AI-supported data retention, archiving, and lifecycle management policies.

• Validate data governance controls to ensure adherence to governance policies and regulatory standards.

• Record business definitions, data rules, and governance requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders.

• Promote data stewardship and enhance data quality across essential data domains.

• Work with cross-functional teams to collect requirements and convert business needs into governance documentation.

• Track governance activities and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

• Relay governance updates, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related discipline.

• Approximately 3+ years of relevant professional experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Business/Data Analysis, or similar fields.

• Familiarity with data governance platforms such as Atlan, Collibra, Alation, or comparable governance workflow and metadata management tools.

• Experience in PII discovery and confidence scoring (mandatory).

• Proficiency in data masking using AI agents (mandatory).

• Practical experience with AWS, including S3, cleanup processes, Glue, AgentCore, and Lambda functions (mandatory).

• Knowledge of CoCo and Cortex is advantageous.

• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal (preferred).
