Senior Data Engineer, Brazil

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain high-scale, near real-time data pipelines for global product and service teams.

• Design, construct, and uphold production-grade event-driven data pipelines capable of processing thousands of events per second.

• Implement scalable data modeling and orchestration logic to convert raw event streams into optimized downstream data models.

• Enhance core data platform toolsets and oversee the release, monitoring, and maintenance of production pipelines.

• Collaborate with product teams, downstream consumers, SRE/Infrastructure, and InfoSec to guarantee data quality, security, and pipeline compliance.

• Utilize agentic AI tools to speed up development, enhance context management, and produce maintainable code.

• Offer operational support across US time zones while working remotely from Brazil.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately 3–5+ years of practical data engineering experience in building production data platforms; a formal degree is not strictly necessary.

• Strong command of Python, SQL, and PySpark.

• Solid hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and the fundamentals of Lakehouse/Data Lake.

• Familiarity with high-throughput event-driven data streaming and real-time processing methodologies.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with international teams.
