Senior Data Engineer – Azure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and develop contemporary data platforms on Azure.

• Convert raw data into dependable, scalable, and analytics-ready infrastructures.

• Establish ETL / ELT pipelines (both batch and optional streaming).

• Create transformations utilizing Python, PySpark, and SQL.

• Manage workflows using Azure tools.

• Integrate data from various sources.

• Design and sustain data lakes / lakehouse architectures.

• Implement medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold tiers).

• Develop dimensional and analytical models.

• Provide support for Power BI semantic models.

• Guarantee data usability for reports and dashboards.

• Configure and oversee Azure data services.

• Establish data validation rules and conduct pipeline testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering.

• Proficient experience with Python and PySpark.

• Advanced skills in SQL.

• Practical knowledge of Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Databricks / Synapse / Microsoft Fabric.

• Familiarity with Delta Lake / lakehouse architectures, Medallion architecture, and Power BI (DAX + semantic modeling).

• Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines, Azure Key Vault, data governance / cataloging, and performance optimization in Spark or Power BI.

• Experience working in distributed teams.

• Language Requirements: English (minimum B1–B2), Spanish (Native / Fluent).
