Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and improve contemporary data platforms, scalable pipelines, and artificial intelligence solutions.

• Design, implement, and oversee batch and streaming data pipelines.

• Construct and enhance data architectures within cloud environments.

• Manage large datasets while ensuring scalability, performance, and quality.

• Create data ingestion, transformation, integration, and delivery processes.

• Assist with Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence initiatives.

• Engage in establishing architecture, governance, security, and observability standards.

• Aid in the modernization and migration of data platforms.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and business teams.

• Mentor junior team members and aid in the technical development of the team.

• Analyze performance, reliability, and quality challenges in data environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in Data Engineering.

• Expertise in Python and SQL.

• Experience in creating scalable data pipelines and architectures.

• Understanding of distributed processing, particularly with Apache Spark.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

• Knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases.

• Experience with Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, or Lakehouses.

• Proficiency with orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or similar technologies.

• Understanding of CI/CD practices, version control, and infrastructure as code.

• Familiarity with data monitoring, observability, quality, and governance.

• Preferred: experience with Databricks, dbt, Kafka, or related technologies.

• Preferred: experience in Machine Learning, GenAI, or AI agent-based system projects.

• Preferred: experience with data-driven solution architecture and AI products.

• Preferred: knowledge of MLOps, LLMOps, or AI application observability.

• Preferred: certifications in cloud technologies, Databricks, or Data Engineering.

• Preferred: involvement in open-source projects, a technical portfolio, or personal technology ventures.

• Preferred: advanced proficiency in English.
