Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage in every phase of the software development life cycle, encompassing design, development, deployment, and maintenance.

• Contribute to the product and technical roadmap by delivering data-driven insights and clearly articulating the trade-offs between technical alternatives and business objectives.

• Provide support and mentorship to junior engineers on the team through code reviews, collaborative programming, and technical advice.

• Adhere to clean code principles by employing best practices to develop secure, testable, and thoroughly documented software.

• Collaborate closely with a global team, including engineers and product managers, to create a stable, high-performance platform.

• Execute comprehensive testing and performance optimization to guarantee system stability and uptime.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in the Data Engineering domain, particularly in constructing and maintaining big data pipelines.

• More than 3 years of experience in agile settings (preferably Scrum), working alongside cross-functional teams (engineering, design, product).

• Proficient in Apache Spark.

• Familiarity with strongly-typed programming languages (Java or Scala preferred).

• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating with external services.

• Participate in code reviews to uphold best practices, maintainability, and the continuous enhancement of the codebase.

• Capability to write and sustain unit and integration tests based on acceptance criteria, ensuring high code quality and reliability.

• Proficient in using version control systems, particularly Git, for collaborative development and code management.
