Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance scalable ETL/ELT workflows utilizing Databricks and Spark

• Oversee Databricks workspaces

• Improve the efficiency of data pipelines for performance and cost-effectiveness

• Create CI/CD pipelines

• Apply Infrastructure as Code principles

• Develop reusable data products

• Enforce data governance from a technical standpoint

• Collaborate with Data Architects and AI Engineers to deliver production-ready solutions

• Establish and promote best practices

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of pertinent experience in developing and managing end-to-end data engineering solutions

• Expertise in Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Python, Spark, Delta Lake, and (T-)SQL

• Strong understanding of pipeline development, testing methodologies, and data governance

• Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep), and Git

• Capability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively

• Excellent teamwork and collaborative abilities

• Proficient in both German and English
