This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of data engineers and data scientists.

• Supervise scalable data pipelines, data architecture, and data science models.

• Collaborate with the Analytics team to create data models and infrastructure for scalable Looker insights.

• Advise on upstream data modifications and evaluate their effects on downstream data models and analytics.

• Establish and refine the architecture strategy for Snowflake data warehousing.

• Drive data quality standards, data governance, and security/compliance measures.

• Act as a liaison between the data team and other departments to collect requirements and prioritize tasks.

• Formulate a strategic roadmap for data engineering and data science that aligns with the business objectives.

• Discover and assess new data sources and data science opportunities while overseeing their integration.

• Contribute directly to the data engineering and data science codebases and tackle complex technical challenges.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, data science, or data architecture roles.

• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.

• Proficiency with contemporary data integration tools, ETL/ELT frameworks, and cloud data platforms.

• At least 3 years of experience with data visualization and BI tools, particularly Looker.

• Experience in managing and working collaboratively with Data Science teams.

• Comprehensive understanding of machine learning models and statistical analysis.

• Acquainted with modern AI workflows and coding assistants.

• Extensive knowledge of data pipeline architectures, dimensional data modeling, and ELT best practices.

• Proficient in SQL and Python.

• Experience in data quality management, automated testing frameworks, and continuous observability tools.

• Familiarity with data governance principles, zero-trust security models, and compliance standards.

• Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and foster consensus.

• Strong preference for candidates with experience in the healthcare or insurance sectors.

• Familiarity with AWS, Snowflake, and Matillion or dbt is advantageous.

• Prior experience with healthcare data and HIPAA/PHI is highly preferred.
