Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Design and implement Python and SQL pipelines for the ingestion, transformation, and validation of data from APIs, databases, and files.

• Create data models and transformations aimed at analytics and AI applications.

• Integrate data quality checks, automated testing, and monitoring processes.

• Analyze pipeline failures to enhance logging and troubleshooting methods.

• Participate in cloud data platforms and lakehouse initiatives.

• Document your work and collaborate through Git, pull requests, and code reviews.

• Assume responsibility for real tasks from day one while collaborating with seasoned engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with Python, databases, and data pipelines.

• A methodical approach to debugging and a readiness to seek clarification.

• Proficient English communication skills.

• Familiarity with AWS, dbt, Airflow, Docker, Snowflake, Databricks, and Apache Iceberg.

• Availability to work 48 hours per week.

• Open to a 3-month contract followed by a 3-month probation period.
