Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance data integration processes, including ETL workflows and data platforms.

• Create technical designs and functional specifications that support performance, scalability, reliability, and cloud migration efforts.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and third-party vendors to establish and align business requirements effectively.

• Lead the implementation of automated solutions that enhance business processes, productivity, and operational efficiency.

• Maintain ETL jobs and address critical production issues through troubleshooting.

• Participate in off-hours support rotation and provide expertise as a subject matter expert.

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data platforms.

• Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, reports, applications, and procedures.

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable reporting and dashboard solutions for business intelligence and data visualization purposes.

• Ensure the implementation of appropriate security measures for reporting and dashboard solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server for enterprise data solutions.

• Strong understanding of ETL, data integration, and transformation processes.

• Practical experience in implementing ETL solutions using Microsoft SSIS.

• Working knowledge of version control concepts and Microsoft DevOps.

• Expert knowledge to lead and supervise SDLC processes.

• Advanced expertise in T-SQL programming, scripting, and optimization.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

• A minimum of four years of information technology experience focused on relational databases, ETL, data warehousing, business intelligence, report development, and dashboard design.

• At least four years of experience with SSIS.

• At least four years of experience with MS SQL database management systems.

• Strong working knowledge of application integration using APIs is preferred.

• Experience with SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI is preferred.

• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Fabric, Snowflake, or Databricks is a plus.

• Proficiency in Python or Java.
