Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, high-volume, and efficient ETL/ELT pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources such as Oracle.

• Create and optimize data models and schemas to facilitate various use cases (including AI/ML solutions, benchmarking, and customer data delivery) within Snowflake and Redshift.

• Ensure the quality, integrity, and completeness of data governance by implementing best practices for monitoring and validation.

• Develop automated monitoring and alerting systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ascertain data requirements that align with business objectives.

• Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the field of data engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in constructing production-quality data pipelines utilizing data extraction tools such as Talend and Informatica, as well as data warehouse platforms like Snowflake and Redshift.

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience with relational databases such as Oracle and data modeling.

• Proficient programming skills in Python, SQL, or Scala.

• More than 3 years of experience on data warehouse platforms, particularly Snowflake and Redshift.

• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

• Strong attention to detail regarding data accuracy, completeness, and privacy.

• Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS and Azure.

• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git), JIRA, and Confluence.

• Experience in delivering customer-facing SaaS solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to optimize data processing workflows.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong teamwork capabilities.
