Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and execution of enterprise AI applications, including copilots, assistants, and agentic solutions.

• Establish implementation strategies that synchronize AI capabilities with business goals and user requirements.

• Direct teams in developing scalable AI workflows, retrieval systems, orchestration layers, and integrated tool experiences.

• Promote best practices in areas such as prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool invocation, context management, testing, observability, and evaluation.

• Collaborate with clients to comprehend business challenges and pinpoint AI-driven opportunities.

• Convert vague requirements into actionable implementation strategies and technical roadmaps.

• Serve as a trusted advisor during workshops, discovery sessions, and executive presentations.

• Work closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Architects, Analytics Engineers, Product teams, and business stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, machine learning engineering, or related disciplines.

• More than 2 years of experience in leading technical teams or managing engineering professionals.

• Significant experience in developing AI-powered applications and LLM-enabled solutions in production settings.

• Practical experience in designing and implementing:

• Generative AI applications

• Agentic workflows

• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions

• Tool-calling and workflow orchestration methodologies

• API-driven integrations

• Advanced proficiency in Python development.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure.

• Familiarity with cloud-based AI platforms and services.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management and effective communication.
