Senior Data Center Network Engineer/Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, architect, and validate contemporary Ethernet-based data center networks

• Provide technical direction throughout customer engagements, from requirements collection to deployment and optimization

• Work in partnership with cross-functional teams that support server infrastructure, GPU clusters, AI/ML workloads, and accelerated computing environments

• Create and assess automation solutions to enhance network operations and provisioning

• Develop network configuration templates, deployment workflows, and operational best practices

• Implement and validate scalable network architectures within customer environments

• Conduct design reviews, technical workshops, customer presentations, and Proofs of Concept (PoCs)

• Diagnose complex networking issues and ensure successful resolution during deployment and production stages

• Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions and provide comprehensive deployment documentation for customers and stakeholders

• Offer feedback to engineering and product teams based on customer needs and industry trends to shape product strategy

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of practical networking experience

• Profound knowledge in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking

• Extensive expertise in Ethernet switching

• Strong command of TCP/IP protocols

• In-depth understanding of data center network architectures

• Experience in designing and validating next-generation data center fabrics

• Proven experience in customer-facing roles, gathering requirements, and delivering technical solutions

• Comprehensive knowledge of VXLAN-EVPN based network fabrics

• Proficiency in Linux

• Familiarity with network automation tools such as Ansible, Salt, and Puppet

• Capability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive customer success

• Experience in creating technical documentation and supporting deployment handovers

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience

• CCNP or equivalent networking certification preferred

• Advanced networking certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, or ACE-E (Data Center) preferred

• Certifications in Linux administration or engineering preferred

• Hands-on experience with Cumulus Linux / Cumulus OS preferred

• Knowledge of InfiniBand networking and AI cluster connectivity preferred

• Experience in supporting AI infrastructure, high-performance computing (HPC), or GPU networking environments preferred
