Senior Data Analytics Implementation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and external consulting teams to design, implement, and maintain digital analytics tracking across web, native mobile applications (iOS and Android), and Connected TV/OTT platforms (e.g., Roku, Samsung, Vizio).

• Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) regarding the deployment and optimization of digital analytics technologies, offering guidance on best practices for scalable and sustainable instrumentation.

• Document requirements, data models, and essential data definitions to ensure consistency and transparency in data collection.

• Convert business and analytics requirements into technical specifications that can be easily understood and acted upon by front-end and back-end engineers.

• Support and guide engineers by addressing technical inquiries, reviewing proposed implementations, and validating that tracking strategies align with data collection objectives.

• Contribute to the documentation of analytics tracking and data flows to ensure technical clarity for engineering teams.

• Utilize and integrate tooling platforms such as Google Tag Manager, Firebase, and other SDKs to ensure consistent and efficient event tracking implementations.

• Collaborate on implementation planning with the Senior Manager and stakeholder teams to ensure the prioritized, strategic, and technically feasible deployment of analytics capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of practical experience in digital analytics implementation or analytics engineering.

• Proven expertise with GA4 Enterprise, including event schema design, custom dimensions/metrics, and BigQuery export.

• Practical experience with GTM (web and mobile containers) and Firebase SDK for both iOS and Android.

• Experience in implementing Measurement Protocol for CTV platforms that lack native SDK/GTM support.

• Strong SQL skills for data validation and querying in BigQuery.

• Proficiency in JavaScript sufficient to read, debug, and write tracking scripts and tag logic.

• Demonstrated ability to audit and resolve analytics data quality issues across various platforms.

• Exceptional cross-functional communication skills - comfortable working with product, engineering, and BI stakeholders.
