Senior Data Analyst – Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Data Set Maintenance: Design, construct, and uphold scalable data models from our data lake that facilitate financial forecasting, budgeting, and ad-hoc analysis.

• SQL Development: Create and refine SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

• BI Dashboarding: Design, implement, and sustain automated, executive-ready BI dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.

• Collaboration Across Functions: Work closely with Sales Operations, Data Engineering, and Product teams to consolidate various data sources (e.g., Salesforce, Stripe, Oracle) into a unified source of truth for Finance.

• Data Governance: Ensure the utmost integrity and precision of financial data utilized for board meetings, investor relations, and regulatory reporting.

• Additional Duties: Carry out other tasks and responsibilities as needed, assigned, or requested. Consensus reserves the right to modify or add responsibilities at any time.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or financial analytics, preferably within a B2B SaaS context.

• Advanced SQL proficiency is essential. You should be able to write complex, optimized queries, utilize window functions, and manage large-scale data manipulation effortlessly.

• Assist in automating processes and enhancing efficiency, scalability, and self-service analytics across the organization.

• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to independently explore issues and provide insights.

• Familiarity with contemporary data stacks, including cloud-based databases. Hands-on experience with data warehousing tools (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift). Proven experience with data visualization and BI tools for creating user-friendly dashboards (Tableau is highly preferred). Established ability to independently build and manage data pipelines from ingestion to reporting.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
