This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate on the technical coordination and stewardship layer for shared datasets and systems relevant to audit, encompassing financial systems, recordkeeping, and downstream reporting processes.
• Lead enhancements in governance, communication, and coordination regarding upstream schema and logic modifications that impact downstream systems and audit-related procedures.
• Assist with technical analysis and downstream impact evaluations during change management for datasets, tables, and systems pertinent to audit.
• Create and sustain reusable audit-ready dataset patterns, which include automated validation, data quality checks, and monitoring mechanisms.
• Evaluate audit-scoped processes and datasets, pinpoint operational challenges, and suggest reengineering and long-term process enhancements.
• Offer technical expertise to business stakeholders and the Audit PM concerning specific audit inquiries.
• Construct ETL pipelines, dashboards, and audit-ready data architecture that facilitate data-driven audit testing.
• Manage inventories, playbooks, catalogs, and access processes that bolster the Data team's audit readiness.
• Over 7 years of experience in data analytics or data engineering.
• Preferably experience supporting internal audit, risk, or SOX compliance functions within fintech, payments, financial markets, or cryptocurrency sectors.
• Experience in managing and designing data architectures within a regulated context.
• Proven experience in designing and constructing data pipelines with governance, traceability, and audit prerequisites integrated from the beginning.
• Practical experience in building and maintaining production data pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of dbt and Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
• Comprehensive mastery of SQL, including complex joins, CTEs, and analytical functions.
• Proficient in Python for pipeline development and analysis.
• Experience in documenting technical and business requirements, metadata, KPI definitions, business rules, data process flows, and data dictionaries.
• Familiarity with job scheduling, error/exception management, and troubleshooting of production ETL workflows.
• Experience collaborating with Data Engineering and/or Data Governance teams on shared datasets, schema alterations, and downstream impact evaluations.
• Capability to convert audit and business requirements into technical specifications and articulate technical tasks in terms understandable to non-technical stakeholders.
• Nice to have: experience in establishing or scaling a data analytics function within an audit or risk organization.
• Nice to have: familiarity with AI-assisted or automation tools for data quality verification, testing, or workflow efficiency.
• Nice to have: experience with audit management platforms such as AuditBoard, Jira, or Workiva.

• Target annual base salary range of $110.4K–$210.8K.
