Senior Cybersecurity Researcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Investigate both emerging and existing cyber threats, malware, attack methods, and campaigns conducted by threat actors.

• Monitor threat actors along with their tactics, techniques, and procedures, and correlate activities across various campaigns.

• Create tools to automate the gathering, enrichment, and analysis of malware and threat intelligence.

• Assist incident response teams by providing detailed intelligence and research analysis.

• Aid US sales teams in discussions with customers and partners by elucidating threat trends, research discoveries, and Acronis’s cybersecurity offerings.

• Act as a representative for Acronis at security conferences, partner events, webinars, and industry forums through presentations and demonstrations.

• Generate research reports, articles, presentations, and educational materials tailored for both technical and business audiences.

• Work collaboratively with Marketing and Communications on research publications, media briefings, and the promotion of research and event participation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, especially in threat intelligence, malware analysis, or security research.

• In-depth knowledge of the threat landscape, threat actor profiling, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of producing accurate and actionable research.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Capability to communicate technical findings to customers, partners, and business audiences effectively.

• Strong presentation and public speaking skills.

• Ability to collaborate with research, sales, marketing, and communications teams on a global scale.

• Willingness to travel for customer, partner, and industry events in the US.

• Candidates must possess a valid and active security clearance suitable for the requirements of the position.

• Experience in developing research and automation tools using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Published security research, conference presentations, or technical webinars.

• Experience in supporting customer interactions or collaborating with sales and marketing teams at a cybersecurity company.

• Familiarity with network analysis tools such as Wireshark, Zeek, or Suricata.
