Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

📋 Description

• Assist in the implementation and upkeep of cybersecurity controls that comply with DoD/DoN standards, NIST frameworks, and organizational policies.

• Play a role in the formulation and execution of Zero Trust security strategies.

• Oversee ATO compliance activities, which include documentation, evidence collection, and coordination with authorizing officials.

• Conduct vulnerability management utilizing tools like AWS Security Hub, container scanning solutions, and other enterprise security platforms.

• Offer security expertise for containerized deployments and cloud environments to guarantee secure architectures and operational practices.

• Lead or assist in FISMA-related audits and compliance initiatives, ensuring timely remediation of findings and ongoing monitoring.

• Work collaboratively across teams to evaluate risks, suggest mitigations, and promote continuous security enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Over 5 years of experience in cybersecurity analysis or engineering, particularly within DoD/DoN settings.

• Solid understanding of DoD/DoN cybersecurity policies, including RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and Zero Trust principles.

• Practical experience with ATO compliance processes and the implementation of security controls.

• Expertise in vulnerability management utilizing tools such as AWS Security Hub and container scanning technologies.

• Experience in supporting FISMA audits and compliance efforts.

• Exceptional analytical, documentation, and communication abilities.

• US Citizenship is required, along with a US Government Secret security clearance or the capacity to obtain one.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience collaborating with the Navy Authorizing Official (NAO) and The Office of the Navy SCA.
