• Lead the generation services and technologies business to achieve or surpass quarterly and annual quota goals in collaboration with account and domain teams.
• Adhere to the Optiv Standardized Sales Operating Processes (SOPs) to ensure consistent success.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the client's security environment, business operations, security requirements, and risk tolerance.
• Identify security concerns and relate them to Optiv's strategic solutions within the assigned domain and comprehensive cybersecurity programs.
• Spot cross-sell and upsell opportunities among clients and Optiv's partner relationships.
• Qualify leads and collaborate with internal colleagues to establish scope, manage proposals, and follow through to closure.
• Engage in sales opportunities across Optiv's full portfolio.
• Actively contribute to the Field Center of Excellence, positioning Optiv services along with key Network/SASE/OT technology partners and their products to provide value to clients.
• Work together with service delivery to ensure the team has the necessary supporting domain specialty materials for a consistent and comprehensive approach.
• Effectively interact with various client personas within the security team and other relevant personas to craft security strategies and outline roadmaps that align with business goals, budgetary allocations, and metrics based on return on investment.
• Sustain advisory relationships with key client stakeholders by providing thought leadership, support, information, and guidance in collaboration with sales partners.
• Maintain robust working relationships with relevant Optiv technology partners, based on client spend and Optiv's focus.
• Design and implement comprehensive security programs that fulfill client objectives across technology and services, including initiating discussions by leveraging peer and industry network contacts, conducting requirements gathering analysis, and coordinating demonstrations and evaluations of security technology.
• Collaborate and partner with internal Optiv teams, especially service delivery liaisons, to align client expectations with the entire Optiv solution portfolio, ensuring service delivery excellence and client satisfaction.
• Gather client feedback and consistently share insights with internal teams to assess and encourage continuous improvement.
• Participate in account planning, forecasting, and pipeline management activities.
• Engage in managing and prioritizing the proposal process to create business proposals, contracts, and respond to RFI/RFPs.
• Actively seek personal development by maintaining and acquiring technical skills, soft skills, and security-specific knowledge through formal education, certifications, and other avenues.
• Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• At least eight (8) years of experience in an information security role, ideally as a consulting advisor, architect, or engineer focused on Network/SASE/OT.
• Highly motivated self-starter who operates effectively without day-to-day supervision.
• Capability to thrive in a highly adaptable and responsive team environment with effective communication.
• Comprehensive understanding of the current threat landscape, vulnerabilities, and defensive measures.
• Strong business and technical insight with the ability to lead technology-focused discussions.
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills for client interactions, including whiteboard sessions and other presentation formats.
• Proficient in sales techniques; builds connections, facilitates meetings, reads the room, asks probing questions, overcomes objections, earns trust, maintains composure under pressure, positions solutions, and assists in closing the sale.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing statements of work (SOWs), quotes, and client deliverables.
• Broad knowledge of security-related topics and a commitment to continuously expand expertise in other domains within the portfolio.
