This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Assist in help desk and customer service operations for a large-scale SaaS data analytics platform, Palantir Foundry.
• Serve as a bridge between users, engineers, and data stakeholders.
• Provide Tier 1 triage and Tier 2 troubleshooting for platform issues, data pipelines, analytic workflows, and operational incidents.
• Participate in project meetings to identify new data sources or additional data needs.
• Organize meetings with data source owners and requestors to establish connections, document processes, and integrate data.
• Support users working with data pipelines, analytic workflows, data models, and operational datasets.
• Work with both code-based and low-code/no-code platform solutions.
• Troubleshoot REST API connectivity, data ingestion/export processes, and system-to-system integrations.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, analysts, and platform administrators.
• Document troubleshooting procedures, recurring issues, operational processes, and user support guidance.
• Enhance platform usability, operational efficiency, data reliability, and analytic workflows.
• Utilize Slack, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint for communication and information sharing.
• Create documentation repositories and standard operating procedures for help desk actions.
• Develop processes to automate recurring issues.
• Provide the ISSM team with up-to-date information on data source requests for the Approval Official approval process.
• Prioritize data connections for the CCB board.
• Assist engineering teams in restoring degraded connections through password resets, identifying points of contact, and scheduling troubleshooting sessions.
• Respond to inquiries in the Teams User Forum or coordinate with engineering for precise answers.
• Facilitate engineering discussions with data subject-matter experts.
• Create and configure user accounts with the necessary access levels.
• Provide account support and manage user access in accordance with security protocols.
• Review data-source migration plans and update documentation accordingly.
• Ensure that engineering members adhere to data connection processes.
• Define and manage organizational data management tools.
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance as mandated by the US government customer.
• A minimum of 7–10 years of experience in the field.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Data Science.
• Experience in a government headquarters staff role, preferably supporting the Department of Defense or Air Force.
• Knowledge of data governance, data integration, and data quality management.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols related to data protection and compliance, including ATO, PIA, MOA, and DSA.
• Understanding of government procedures and protocols relevant to data sharing and collaboration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Capacity to manage multiple data connection projects, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion.
• Proficiency in data analytics principles, data modeling concepts, and enterprise data environments.
• Expertise in REST API technologies, Swagger/OpenAPI documentation, and data integration methodologies.
• Proficient with cloud-based or enterprise-scale analytics platforms and modern data architectures.
• Practical experience with Python, SQL, PySpark, and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Skillful in analyzing datasets, identifying data quality issues, troubleshooting pipeline failures, and resolving platform-related incidents.
• Ability to support users within a complex data analytics ecosystem and communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Quick learner of new analytic tools, platform capabilities, and operational support processes within Foundry.
• Competent in managing multiple support requests, prioritizing operational issues, and effectively working in a fast-paced support environment.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with data lineage, data transformations, data cleansing, ELT processes, and pipeline troubleshooting is highly preferred.
