Senior CX Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of cloud-native customer experience solutions utilizing Amazon Connect and AWS.

• Design, create, and enhance scalable CX solutions leveraging Amazon Connect, WebRTC, SIP, and AWS technologies.

• Architect and develop server-side APIs, microservices, and automated workflows using TypeScript and contemporary programming languages.

• Drive integration of front-end and web technologies for multi-channel customer engagement tools.

• Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather requirements and convert them into enterprise-grade CX architectures.

• Act as a senior technical escalation point for intricate networking and telephony challenges.

• Establish engineering standards, conduct code reviews, and create continuous delivery pipelines in an agile setting.

• Implement AI-driven interactions, generative AI solutions, and advanced automation techniques.

• Investigate modern execution environments and systems languages like Rust.

• Advance towards becoming Contacx's inaugural New Zealand squad leader, overseeing NZ clients and contributing to ANZ leadership and company strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level experience in software development or cloud engineering.

• Proven full-stack development capabilities.

• Experience with real-time communications or CCaaS implementations.

• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, web technologies, and REST API development.

• Familiarity with Python or Golang.

• Comprehensive understanding of enterprise networking: TCP, IP routing, NAT, DNS.

• Knowledge of SIP and WebRTC.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Amazon Connect and AWS services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, Lex, and Amazon Bedrock.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Relevant AWS certifications are highly valued.
