Senior Customer Success Manager – D&I, India

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary point of contact for significant military and government agencies, nurturing long-term relationships based on trust and successful mission outcomes.

• Collaborate with clients to thoroughly comprehend their unique mission needs. You will assist them in incorporating Planet data into their current geospatial workflows for purposes such as border security, disaster management, and urban development.

• Skillfully maneuver through the intricacies of Indian interagency dynamics. You will pinpoint essential stakeholders across different ministries and create the necessary connections to facilitate widespread use of Planet’s platform.

• Oversee the renewal process while identifying avenues for expansion. By consistently providing value, you will secure long-term contract viability and promote new use cases within your accounts.

• Represent the internal 'Voice of the Indian Government' within Planet, working alongside Product, Sales, and Engineering teams to shape our roadmap according to regional needs.

• Evaluate and convert specific mission requirements into value creation by navigating complex interagency relationships to seamlessly integrate Planet’s solutions into existing workflows. Formulate and implement Success Plans that establish clear KPIs for the customer, ensuring their 'Mission Success' is measurable and visible to their leadership, and achieve value growth by identifying new customer use cases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience collaborating directly with the Indian Armed Forces and/or Central Government agencies. You possess an understanding of the intricacies of the Indian procurement landscape and bureaucratic decision-making processes.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.

• A comprehensive understanding of GIS, remote sensing, or satellite imagery applications. While you don’t need to be a developer, you should be able to communicate effectively with geospatial analysts.

• Capability to establish connections across ministries and sustain relationships with both senior officials and technical end-users.

• Outstanding negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical functionalities into strategic mission achievements.

• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting while ensuring high levels of engagement with a global team. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, a proactive attitude, and the capacity to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in Hindi.

• Professional working proficiency in English, which is the company's primary language.
