This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Set up customer accounts; tailor backup policies and storage solutions; assist with onboarding; provide orientation to stakeholders; guide through admin portals; introduce available support channels.
• Spot migration possibilities; evaluate usage and environment; facilitate success planning and strategy sessions; align business objectives with product utilization.
• Perform assessments; develop protection strategies; suggest software products and architectures within the Veeam Data Platform.
• Conduct recovery simulations; utilize the Veeam Data Resilience Maturity Model (DRMM) to monitor and report on resilience posture; produce quarterly resilience reports.
• Observe signals to identify churn risk early; create mitigation strategies; collaborate on renewal strategies with actionable technical insights.
• Develop business cases; outline total cost of ownership (TCO); communicate value propositions for expansion; plan checkpoint reviews with stakeholders.
• Interact with CISO/CIO stakeholders providing clear updates on risk, status, and opportunities; support context for executive discussions and alignment of roadmaps.
• Work together on marketing-informed campaigns and strategies to enhance adoption and expansion.
• Manage a long-term account assignment model linked to annual recurring revenue (ARR) and growth potential, generally overseeing 5-50 Enterprise and Commercial-Named accounts with $100K+ ARR.
• Take ownership of the technical success plan and adoption roadmap; influence pricing, commercial agreements, and renewal conditions in collaboration with Sales and Customer Success leadership.
• Over 5 years of experience in customer-facing engineering roles concentrating on data backup and recovery (e.g., Technical Consulting, Pre-Sales SE, Technical Account Manager); this is a mid-level position.
• Practical expertise across operating systems, virtualization, storage, scripting/automation, cloud platforms, and best practices in disaster recovery and resilience.
• Significant experience in designing and implementing protection plans, migrations, and recovery simulations; familiarity with Veeam platform capabilities is advantageous.
• VMCE certification is mandatory (can be acquired post-hire within an agreed timeframe).
• Preferred industry certifications include AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) and Microsoft Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect Expert.
• Demonstrated capability to convert business outcomes into technical adoption roadmaps and measurable value.
• Skills in engaging with executive stakeholders (CISO/CIO) with the ability to distill technical, business, and risk signals into clear recommendations.
• Exceptional communication, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
