This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Designing, evaluating, and enhancing credit risk strategies for applications, which include policy rules, scorecard thresholds, and affordability assessments.
• Overseeing the ongoing performance of application scorecards by identifying emerging risks, performance shifts, or opportunities to enhance risk-return results.
• Assisting in the creation, improvement, and implementation of new scorecards and segmentation methods in collaboration with the Credit Analytics and Model Risk teams.
• Generating clear, decision-oriented management information and analyses that encompass application volumes, approval rates, risk performance, and strategy implications.
• Providing insights and recommendations to senior management and Credit Committees, contributing to strategy documentation and governance submissions.
• Leading or aiding in the execution of credit strategy modifications within active decision-making environments, ensuring that changes are well-regulated and suitably governed.
• Monitoring outcomes post-deployment to ensure that strategies align with expectations and the Bank’s risk appetite.
• Collaborating closely with Product, Underwriting, Technology, and Operations teams to facilitate new product launches, policy updates, and strategic initiatives.
• Aiding in the continuous enhancement of credit strategy frameworks, documentation, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
• Extensive experience in credit risk strategy or decision analytics within a banking or consumer lending setting.
• Practical experience in managing or utilizing application scorecards and credit decision frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to convert complex analyses into clear strategic recommendations.
• Experience in producing high-quality management information and presentations for senior stakeholders and governance forums.
• Solid understanding of the complete credit lifecycle, especially the front-book/application stage.
