Senior Counsel, Reproductive Health Law Advising

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to clients on issues related to reproductive health law and associated matters;

• Perform legal research, analysis, and documentation;

• Draft legal research memos, client advisory memos, and various legal documents;

• Maintain strong working relationships with clients and co-counsel;

• Keep abreast of changes and developments in relevant legal fields;

• Conduct intake interviews with potential clients;

• Oversee Legal Counsel, Legal Fellows, and interns as necessary;

• Mentor and assist junior attorneys, support staff, and law students;

• Represent the Lawyering Project at conferences, meetings, and speaking events;

• Engage in collaborative working groups with allied organizations;

• Foster an organizational culture that reflects the values of the Lawyering Project.

⛳️ Requirements

• A J.D. or equivalent qualification;

• A valid license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction;

• At least 7 years of pertinent legal practice experience;

• Extensive experience in managing client relationships, providing compliance guidance on complex legal issues, and assessing client needs for appropriate referrals;

• Proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing intricate legal authorities to provide thorough compliance advice;

• A dedication to promoting reproductive health, rights, and justice;

• Minimum of two years of experience in supervising attorneys or law students.
