This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main legal advisor for the Go-To-Market team, facilitating customer transactions from the initial structuring phase to execution.
• Draft, evaluate, and negotiate various agreements including SaaS contracts, enterprise customer agreements, professional services contracts, NDAs, and partner/channel agreements.
• Create and uphold standard form agreements and online terms (e.g., platform terms, universal license agreements, order forms).
• Engage in negotiations directly with sophisticated customer legal teams, including those from financial services, insurance, healthcare, and pharmaceutical sectors.
• Ensure that commercial agreements adhere to open source licensing requirements and align with industry best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Product Legal, Security, and other cross-functional teams to ensure that legal guidance is in sync with business and technical goals.
• Provide practical, risk-adjusted advice that aligns with the company's policies and risk tolerance levels.
• Assist with partnership initiatives as required and contribute to scalable contracting processes as the organization expands.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with active bar membership in good standing.
• Over 5 years of commercial legal experience, ideally combining both law firm and in-house technology company backgrounds.
• Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating SaaS, subscription, and professional services agreements.
• Proven capability to draft standard form agreements and online terms from scratch, rather than just negotiating existing third-party documents.
• Experience in negotiations with heavily regulated clients and an understanding of the regulatory factors affecting those industries.
• Familiarity with open source licensing and compliance issues.
• Preferred experience in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or related technology fields.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to foster strong working relationships across Sales, Product, Security, and executive stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen with the capacity to balance legal risks against commercial objectives.
• Ability to manage multiple complex issues in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
