Senior Counsel – 12-Month FTC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide support and guidance to headquarters, regional, and local teams regarding customer-facing transactions, product development, privacy, and inquiries related to AI.

• Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts and templates while establishing processes that empower business teams to efficiently finalize deals.

• Offer strategic advice on privacy compliance and implement legally sound procedures for AI utilization within the organization.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify legal risks and deliver practical, business-oriented solutions.

• Serve as a trusted legal advisor to facilitate SoSafe’s rapid expansion throughout Europe and globally.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a commercial lawyer or in-house legal counsel in the SaaS or Technology sector.

• Fully qualified attorney in Germany or in at least one of our regional market jurisdictions.

• Strong emphasis on commercial and/or regulatory law, preferably with experience across several jurisdictions.

• In-depth understanding of commercial contracting, privacy, and technology-related legal issues.

• Knowledge of AI-related legal matters, including advising on AI tools, use cases, policies, or governance.

• Strategic thinker with outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities—capable of addressing complex issues in a legally accurate, yet pragmatic and timely fashion.

• Excellent communication abilities, assertive negotiation style, and confident demeanor.

• Experience in European business and negotiating agreements governed by various jurisdictions.

• Highly organized, self-reliant, dedicated, and adaptable to change and challenges.

• Strong business acumen with the capability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy.

• Nice to have: Experience with public procurement and tender processes in at least one core jurisdiction.

• Language: Proficient in English (both written and spoken); additional languages are advantageous.
