Senior Cost Manager – Quantity Surveyor, Data Center Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain comprehensive cost plans and estimates throughout the design and delivery stages.

• Generate and present monthly cost reports, executive summaries, and funding information to stakeholders.

• Coordinate all cost information sources to ensure thorough cost validation and auditing.

• Assemble constructed cost records for benchmarking and ongoing improvement efforts.

• Spearhead the development of procurement strategies and lead commercial negotiations.

• Oversee final accounts and guarantee timely agreements.

• Manage change control throughout the project lifecycle.

• Assist with cost risk analysis and scenario planning.

• Ensure the implementation of robust cost control systems, including Earned Value Management (EVM).

• Track market trends and provide valuable insights.

• Serve as the primary interface with clients to ensure objectives are achieved.

• Prepare and deliver updates along with written comments on submissions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience in data center construction is essential.

• 5–7+ years of experience in cost management/project controls within mission-critical environments.

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and campus-scale infrastructure typical of hyperscale data centers.

• Proficiency in procurement strategies and the commercial management of contractor/vendor agreements.

• Familiarity with industry-standard cost management tools and software.

• Excellent skills in communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
