Senior Corporate Onboarding Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Complete onboarding for corporate accounts across Tier 1–3 banks, electronic money institutions (EMIs), and cryptocurrency exchanges worldwide.

• Overseeing more than 10 concurrent onboarding processes at various stages.

• Directing comprehensive KYC, KYB, and AML procedures, including intricate annual reviews and on-demand compliance inquiries.

• Establishing and nurturing direct relationships with relationship managers and compliance officers at banks.

• Actively seeking out new payment solutions and alternative banking options tailored for gambling and corporate cryptocurrency requirements.

• Assisting the Legal and Finance teams with Substance requirements within the holding structure.

• Keeping track of the EMI landscape and evolving risk appetites in key jurisdictions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in Banking/Onboarding within the iGaming, Gambling, Betting, or High-Risk FinTech sectors.

• Familiarity with the EMI ecosystem, including platforms such as Airwallex, Bankera, Statrys, and PayDo.

• In-depth knowledge of KYC, KYB, and AML regulations, including Source of Wealth (SoW) and Source of Funds (SoF) criteria.

• Experience with complex corporate structures, including multi-layered holdings, ultimate beneficial ownership (UBO) chains, and cross-jurisdictional ownership.

• Legal proficiency: comfortable with M&A documentation, Certificates of Incorporation (COI), Register of Directors, Incumbency Certificates, Powers of Attorney (PoA), and Apostille procedures.

• Understanding of substance requirements: knowledge of economic substance regulations (local offices, local staff) necessary for passing bank compliance.

• Proficiency in Business English at C1/C2 level: confident in conducting live compliance discussions and legal written communication.
