Senior Core Network Engineer, HLR/HSS, SDM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee the HLR/HSS subscriber templates, guaranteeing accurate configuration of roaming profiles, APN/PDN contexts, and Camel/Diameter triggers.

• Partner with roaming collaborators to implement and enhance SoR logic within the HLR/HSS, ensuring subscribers connect to preferred networks based on cost and quality.

• Spearhead the technical deployment of Full MVNO profiles, managing specific QoS profiles and addressing (GTs, APNs) necessary for autonomous network operations.

• Serve as the main technical liaison for our System Integrators, auditing HLR/HSS configurations, evaluating change requests, and ensuring alignment with the 2026 roadmap.

• Establish and track essential HLR/HSS KPIs, including Location Update (LU) success rates and Diameter Transactions per Second (TPS) limits.

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound technical expertise in MAP (SS7) and Diameter (S6a/S13) protocols; additional experience with VoLTE Roaming (S8HR) or SMSoIP rollout is a notable advantage.

• Subscriber Mapping: Extensive background with HLR, HSS, and UDM (User Data Management) in a multi-tenant or MVNO/E environment.

• Hands-on experience with Multi-IMSI applets and the logic essential for managing roaming through Sponsor IMSIs.

• Strong understanding of GSMA IREG (IR series); familiarity with TADIG (TD series) and the influence of HSS/HLR templates on billing/settlement is preferred.

• A "detective" approach to troubleshooting complex signaling failures using tools like Wireshark or roaming-specific platforms (e.g., Mobileum, Roamware, or SIGOS).

• Demonstrated capability to manage technical projects with external System Integrators and roaming partners under tight deadlines.
