This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Take charge of the technical design for Configuration Management features within a complex, multi-vendor Core Network setting, ensuring both scalability and resilience.
• Lead a delivery team by establishing direction and reviewing designs while the team manages daily platform coding tasks.
• Make and justify technical decisions in front of the customer's Core Engineering team.
• Convert operator change practices, including change windows, CMDB updates, and rollback expectations, into automated and auditable gates.
• Manage vendor and data-model interactions across Ericsson, Huawei, and other relevant vendors, including YANG modules and NETCONF exports.
• Act as the technical escalation point for the account, overseeing vendor interactions, lab access, and integration with the customer's change management systems.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong experience in operating a Configuration Management tooling stack for mobile Core, such as Cisco NSO, HPE Service Director, Ericsson ENM, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience with golden configurations, drift detection, and templating.
• Proven record in managing configuration changes in live Core environments, covering change windows, governance, rollback strategies, post-change KPI validation, and 24x7 operational discipline.
• Proficient understanding of NETCONF and YANG, including practical use of get-config and edit-config against live nodes and the ability to interpret schema deviations.
• Practical experience with at least one 5G SA Core from Ericsson, Nokia, or Huawei.
• Conceptual understanding of 5G SBA and 4G EPC architecture.
• Proven experience leading a delivery squad through customer-facing service delivery, integration, or first-of-a-kind deployments.
• Fluent in English.
• Working proficiency in Spanish is a valuable asset.
• Additional skills that are not mandatory from day one include: GitOps operations; YANG toolchain experience such as libyang, pyang, or yangdiff; reading-level Python; Kubernetes knowledge; multi-element orchestration; familiarity with 3GPP interfaces; experience with Tier-1 European operators; exposure to VoLTE/IMS; or contributions to IETF/3GPP/ETSI standards.
