This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the strategic copy direction for integrated campaigns, go-to-market launches, brand initiatives, and priority activations.
• Transform positioning, audience challenges, market context, and performance insights into compelling campaign narratives that connect the customer journey from initial engagement to final conversion.
• Create reusable messaging frameworks, value propositions, audience messaging matrices, product narratives, proof-point hierarchies, taglines, voice guidance, templates, and copy guidelines that enable teams to communicate with clarity, consistency, and brand integrity.
• Employ sound creative judgment to identify opportunities where AI can enhance ideation, synthesis, versioning, testing, workflow efficiency, and scalable team adoption.
• Convert audience insights, needs, motivations, barriers, and decision drivers into messages that capture attention, establish relevance, and inspire action.
• Adapt foundational creative concepts across various formats including social media, short-form video, CRM/lifecycle communications, websites, landing pages, events, thought leadership pieces, partner materials, and emerging formats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional marketing teams to analyze click-through rates, engagement, retention, conversion, audience responses, and brand impact.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Creative Writing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7–10+ years of copywriting experience in brand, campaign, product marketing, integrated marketing, agency, or in-house creative settings.
• Proven experience leading strategic copy development for major campaigns, brand platforms, product launches, portfolio-level messaging systems, or integrated marketing initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to develop messaging frameworks, audience messaging matrices, brand voice guidelines, product narratives, campaign platforms, or scalable copy systems.
• Strong portfolio showcasing original creative thinking, strategic messaging development, audience-specific copy creation, and versatility across various channels, audiences, and brand voices.
• Experience customizing messaging for diverse audience types, including consumers, members, communities, enterprises/businesses, partners, regions, and internal stakeholders.
• Practical experience leveraging AI tools in creative workflows, with curiosity and hands-on experience exploring how AI can streamline ideation, drafting, versioning, refinement, and workflow efficiency.
• Experience mentoring writers, guiding cross-functional contributors, reviewing agency work, or providing editorial leadership across teams.
• Preferred experience working within complex organizations that have multiple products, audiences, regions, stakeholders, and business models.
• Exceptional copywriting and editing abilities, with a knack for developing brand-level concepts, product messaging, campaign language, and high-priority copy.
• Strong understanding of brand strategy, positioning, integrated marketing, and audience-focused messaging.
• An audience-centric thinker capable of translating customer insights, motivations, barriers, and decision drivers into impactful messaging systems.
• Ability to tailor messaging across a variety of audiences while ensuring brand consistency.
• Ability to distill complex products, ideas, and business priorities into clear, compelling, and audience-relevant language.
• Capacity to create scalable messaging systems, rather than just standalone copy assets.
• High proficiency with AI-assisted creative workflows, along with the curiosity and resourcefulness to test new tools, identify practical applications, and help refine the copy development process.
• Strong writer with the discernment to know when to craft foundational language directly and when to develop systems that support others in execution.
• Strategic thinker with robust marketing acumen, creative instincts, editorial judgment, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Collaborative partner who can engage with Creative, Product Marketing, Integrated Campaigns, Lifecycle/CRM, Social Media, Events, Web, Regional Marketing, Community, Partnerships, Product, Creative Operations, and agency teams.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, invigorated by change, and adept at bringing structure to complex creative challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluent in English, which is PMI’s business language.
