This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Review, edit, and authorize written material across various platforms, including websites, blogs, email campaigns, video scripts, social media, print, paid media, podcasts, landing pages, and other marketing resources.
• Tailor writing style, voice, and tone to suit different audiences, channels, and formats while upholding Banner Health brand standards.
• Ensure that copy aligns with content briefs, strategic objectives, audience requirements, and business goals.
• Verify health-related content with physician leaders, clinical subject matter experts, and stakeholders.
• Convert complex medical and clinical information into straightforward, accessible language for consumers.
• Implement SEO/AEO/GEO best practices, including target keywords, meta descriptions, headers, and search optimization guidelines.
• Ensure that content adheres to brand standards, style guides, governance frameworks, and healthcare marketing regulations such as HIPAA, FDA, and FTC requirements.
• Collaborate with Brand creative teams to produce integrated written, visual, and multimedia content.
• Oversee multiple editing assignments, deadlines, priorities, review cycles, and stakeholder communications.
• Utilize editorial feedback and performance insights to enhance content quality.
• Assist with Content Engine workflows, production schedules, process improvements, and content governance updates.
• Manage content requests and production workflows via Adobe Workfront.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional writing or editing experience in marketing, content marketing, publishing, or a related field.
• A portfolio showcasing versatility across web, email, social media, long-form articles, scripts, and various content types.
• Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
• Strong grasp of grammar, style, and AP/Chicago style guidelines.
• Capability to adjust voice, tone, and style for diverse audiences, channels, and content formats.
• Experience writing for consumer audiences and simplifying complex information into clear, digestible language.
• Excellent research skills and the ability to swiftly learn and write about new topics.
• Familiarity with SEO/AEO/GEO content best practices.
• Experience collaborating with subject matter experts and integrating technical or clinical feedback.
• Ability to juggle multiple writing projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills within a matrixed team structure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Willingness to learn content management, project management, and collaboration tools, including Workfront.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Preferred: Experience in healthcare or regulated industries; familiarity with health or medical consumer content; knowledge of HIPAA, FDA, and FTC compliance; experience with CMS, DAM, and agile content production; understanding of content performance metrics; multimedia scriptwriting; agency experience; relevant certifications.
