This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Accountable for the design, development, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of intricate control system solutions for mission-critical projects.
• Produces high-quality engineering deliverables while aiding project teams during the design, integration, and commissioning phases.
• Takes ownership of essential technical deliverables, contributes to system architecture choices, and mentors less experienced engineers to maintain consistency and quality.
• Designs, develops, and improves PLC, SCADA, BMS, and EPMS systems tailored for mission-critical projects.
• Creates and evaluates control system architecture, software designs, and technical documentation.
• Carries out engineering tasks across various projects, ensuring delivery aligns with scope and timelines.
• Assists with system integration, FAT, and SAT activities.
• Aids in commissioning, which includes validation, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Detects and resolves technical challenges across software, hardware, and system interfaces.
• Contributes to the development and enhancement of engineering standards, tools, and methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in controls engineering, automation, or control system integration.
• Proven experience supporting complex industrial, life sciences, or mission-critical projects.
• In-depth knowledge of PLC, SCADA, BMS, and EPMS systems (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Ignition, etc.).
• Proficiency in control system design, software development, and system integration.
• Capability to independently perform intricate engineering tasks.
• Strong comprehension of process systems, instrumentation, control panels, and industrial networks.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control narratives.
• Experience in supporting commissioning, FAT, and SAT activities.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
