Senior Consultant – Spend Insights, Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist client organizations in recognizing and implementing cost-saving opportunities within clinical supply categories.

• Utilize analytics tools and category expertise to promote data-driven decisions, standardization, and contracting strategies.

• Work alongside supply chain leaders and executives to achieve measurable financial and operational results.

• Employ category knowledge to pinpoint and execute cost-saving opportunities, using analytics tools to enhance insights and decision-making.

• Examine utilization, variation, and purchasing trends to create prioritized savings pipelines that align with clinical and financial objectives.

• Lead client meetings, present recommendations to senior leadership, and foster strong relationships through continuous engagement.

• Develop robust customer relationships by maintaining regular connections and conducting business reviews with key stakeholders.

• Analyze and structure data to facilitate change while mentoring less experienced team members in data storytelling.

• Exhibit a strong understanding of clinical supply categories and sourcing strategies, utilizing proficiency and analytics platforms to aid RFP execution and contracting decisions.

• Assist in sourcing strategies and contracting decisions by leveraging analytics platforms and effectively communicating value to clients.

• Offer ongoing training and technological support to hospital clients and internal stakeholders.

• Collaborate with other Vizient delivery streams to enhance the value provided to hospitals and Vizient, including but not limited to consulting, spend management delivery, spend technology sales, and managed service delivery.

• Perform contract maintenance tasks, including updates on products, pricing, and clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.

• Experience in supply chain, clinical category management, value analysis, or a healthcare environment is necessary.

• A master’s degree is preferred.

• Familiarity with project management methodologies is preferred.

• Strong business and financial acumen with the capability to quantify challenges and propose solutions is preferred.

• Experience in managing sourcing events and RFPs is a plus.

• Willingness to travel is required.
