Senior Consultant – Power BI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Facilitate customer discovery meetings to identify reporting needs.

• Collaborate with customers on Power BI Licensing, understanding the benefits and limitations of each licensing option.

• Develop high-performance star schema data models for Power BI, incorporating accurate calculated columns and measures.

• Design Power BI solutions for clients, including data import from various sources, report and dashboard creation, and the development of relevant data elements using DAX and source queries.

• Advise customers on the deployment of Power BI solutions to the Power BI service, encompassing Gateways, DirectQuery, DataFlows, and Data Updates.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in data and business intelligence solutions utilizing the Microsoft tool stack for Business Intelligence (SSRS, Power BI, PowerPivot (Excel), or PerformancePoint), or other Business Intelligence tools from vendors such as Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Qlik, or SAP.

• Proficient in TSQL, data modeling, and reporting using Power BI or other Microsoft tools.

• Proven experience in creating comprehensive Power BI report solutions that address business inquiries with linked content, drilldowns, and nested parameters.

• Expertise in dynamic measure design utilizing advanced DAX techniques.

• Familiarity with data mashups and transformations using Power Query/M language.

• Experience utilizing the Databricks platform to design, implement, and enhance data pipelines and workflows.

• Capability to articulate visual choices and interactions effectively.

• Design, develop, and implement user interfaces that prioritize usability and minimal training for the functional work group utilizing the database.

• Skilled in gathering requirements and conducting focus groups to identify processes necessary for business assistance and growth.
