Senior Consultant – Microsoft Cloud, Data, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate requirements gathering meetings and document the needs of clients.

• Create and implement dimensional data models.

• Develop, maintain, and support intricate data integration pipelines.

• Construct Power BI reports, dashboards, and applications.

• Present recommended solutions and articulate the reasoning behind their implementation.

• Recognize opportunities for optimization and strategize their implementation.

• Mentor junior team members.

• Conduct working sessions with clients.

• Take the lead on and allocate ad hoc client requests.

• Diagnose BI solutions, pinpoint issues, and enhance performance and security.

• Design Azure DevOps backlogs and sprints while overseeing delivery.

• Manage project teams and source code.

• Acquire professional certifications that support partner designations.

• Generate new revenue through effective delivery, strong client relationships, and some pre-sales support.

• Gain knowledge in Master Data Management techniques and technologies.

• Familiarize with Data Governance processes and technologies.

• Conduct performance tuning for databases and pipelines.

• Cultivate client relationships using Agile project delivery methodologies.

• Implement scalable and efficient architectures for Microsoft data solutions.

• Collaborate with leadership to promote continuous improvement.

• Serve as a partner to team members, providing mentorship and fostering the growth of the Data & AI Services team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Data Warehousing (Azure/SQL/Synapse/Spark/Delta Lake), ETL (ADF Pipelines/SSIS), Analysis Services, DAX, Power BI Pro and Premium, or an equivalent.

• Strong understanding of various Azure cloud data platforms and services.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing data solutions for intricate business challenges.

• Experience on projects dealing with large data volumes, preferably within the Manufacturing sector.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and other relevant parties.

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with Microsoft ERP and CRM tools is a plus.

• Knowledge of Kimball Dimensional Modeling and batch/incremental ETL development methodologies.

• Experience in database performance tuning.

• Background in developing and managing data quality monitoring along with an understanding of data governance methodologies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to travel approximately 10% as necessary.
