Senior Consultant Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical lead for small to medium-sized projects, effectively addressing technical challenges to ensure client satisfaction.

• Collaborate with the AspenTech Project Manager and the Client to coordinate solution delivery, ensuring that projects meet established milestones, deadlines, and financial objectives.

• Analyze process flow diagrams, process and instrumentation diagrams, mass balances, actual plant data, process descriptions, and process manuals.

• Execute projects utilizing AspenTech's process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, Aspen OnLine, and others.

• Engage in client meetings, create project documentation and reports, and provide assistance with user training as needed.

• Communicate confidently and present findings to clients.

• Sustain and enhance client satisfaction levels while identifying opportunities for additional services.

⛳️ Requirements

• A reputable degree in Chemical Engineering.

• A PhD or Master’s Degree is a significant advantage.

• At least 5+ years of experience in modeling Refining, Petrochemical, and Ethylene processes.

• Demonstrated ability to utilize and apply process simulation and design tools from the AspenTech Engineering software suite (Aspen HYSYS, Aspen HYSYS Petroleum Refining, Aspen Plus, etc.).

• Proficiency in analyzing plant data to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational optimization.

• Previous experience in AI/ML and Data Modeling is highly desirable.

• Solid knowledge and understanding of major industrial processes in Refining, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, or Ethylene from thermodynamic, operational, and design/modeling perspectives.

• Familiarity with Polymer processes is a plus.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Experience with programming languages such as Python, C#, C++, VB.Net, or others is highly advantageous.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.

• A team player with a positive attitude, capable of building strong relationships with customers.

• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, typically up to 25% of the time.
