Senior Consultant, Data Strategy and Governance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee data governance assessments and evaluate maturity levels.

• Establish operating models, policies, standards, and processes for enterprise data governance.

• Create data governance roadmaps that align with business goals and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct workshops with stakeholders from both business and technology to outline governance needs.

• Develop and implement frameworks for data stewardship and data ownership.

• Promote the adoption of data governance practices throughout various business units.

• Lead the comprehensive implementation and improvement of the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform.

• Configure and manage the following areas:

• Data Catalog

• Data Governance Center

• Data Marketplace

• Data Quality & Observability integrations

• Business Glossary

• Data Lineage

• Reference Data Management

• Develop and sustain governance workflows utilizing the Collibra Workflow Designer.

• Set up metadata ingestion and integrations with enterprise data platforms.

• Design and oversee operating models within the Collibra ecosystem.

• Implement practices for metadata management, data quality, and master data management.

• Define business glossaries, critical data elements, and requirements for data lineage.

• Establish metrics for data quality, scorecards, and processes for monitoring.

• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, architecture, security, and compliance teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, or Data Strategy.

• At least 4 years of hands-on experience in implementing and administering Collibra.

• In-depth understanding of:

• Data Governance Frameworks

• Metadata Management

• Data Cataloging

• Data Lineage

• Data Quality Management

• Data Stewardship

• Data Privacy & Compliance

• Experience in large enterprise data transformation initiatives.

• Strong skills in consulting, facilitation, and managing stakeholder relationships.
