Senior Consultant – Cybersecurity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take the lead in client-facing cybersecurity consulting engagements, providing strategic advisory services independently.

• Offer expert recommendations driven by in-depth cybersecurity knowledge, performing robust qualitative analyses, and keeping up-to-date with market and industry trends.

• Communicate effectively and confidently, facilitate client meetings, present outcomes proficiently, and cultivate trust with stakeholders.

• Mentor and develop junior team members by sharing knowledge, providing constructive feedback, and encouraging growth among Analysts and Consultants.

• Play a key role in Wavestone’s expansion by actively supporting business development, nurturing client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and engaging in marketing, content creation, and internal initiatives.

• Collaborate and coordinate efforts across various Wavestone locations to contribute to the global development of the cybersecurity practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required, ideally in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, or a related field.

• At least 3+ years of experience in client-facing cybersecurity consulting within a consulting firm, professional environment, or advisory services.

• Demonstrated capability to lead workstreams and manage cybersecurity consulting engagements from planning to execution.

• Proven experience leading cybersecurity consulting engagements in areas such as cyber risk, governance, compliance, security strategy, technology risk, assessments, and advisory services.

• Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, controls, and industry best practices.

• Strong comprehension of cybersecurity frameworks and standards.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities with the capacity to engage effectively at all organizational levels.

• Proven skill in building trusted client relationships and delivering high-quality advisory services in a dynamic consulting environment.

• A successful record of supporting business development activities (account planning, pitches, proposals).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines concurrently.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.
