This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Identify, pursue, and secure retained executive search engagements and advisory solutions for academic medical centers, health systems, and medical schools.
• Collaborate with Deans, CEOs, CMOs, Chairs, and Department Chiefs to comprehend their priorities and offer consultative recruitment solutions.
• Engage in proposal creation, client presentations, and pitch meetings.
• Oversee full-cycle executive searches from initial intake and strategy formulation to candidate identification, evaluation, offer negotiation, and placement.
• Formulate recruiting strategies that encompass target institutions, peer organizations, leadership benchmarks, and diversity considerations.
• Conduct intake meetings and distill requirements related to academic rank, faculty appointments, research expectations, clinical operations, and governance.
• Provide clients with status updates and market insights during engagements.
• Identify, recruit, engage, and evaluate senior leader and physician executive candidates.
• Guide candidates as they navigate transitions in academic medicine leadership.
• Cultivate long-term client relationships that foster repeat engagements and broaden partnerships.
• Deliver thought leadership and market intelligence on executive talent trends within academic medicine.
• Collaborate with internal search teams to ensure successful outcomes for clients and candidates.
• Associate’s Degree with 5–7 years of experience in Academic Executive Search and business development.
• High School Diploma/GED with 7–9 years of experience in Academic Executive Search and business development.
• Outstanding interpersonal and consultative communication abilities.
• Capability to influence and establish credibility with senior academic and physician leaders.
• Proficiency in assessing complex executive, physician, and academic leadership profiles.
• Strong business development orientation with a knack for identifying opportunities and securing retained engagements.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to swiftly understand new subject matter and institutional dynamics.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and execution skills.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working independently in a team-oriented environment.
• Preferred: experience in executive search within academic medicine, healthcare, or higher education.
• Preferred: background in recruiting C-suite, physician, and senior academic leaders.
• Preferred: proven track record with large academic medical centers, teaching hospitals, or medical schools.
• Proficient in operating standard office equipment and keyboards.
