• Acts as a liaison between business users and software developers to communicate business demands effectively.
• Assesses application appropriateness against business needs to evaluate feasibility and guarantee achievement of desired outcomes.
• Identifies problem statements while analyzing current-state business processes and system functionalities to evaluate application impacts.
• Examines system capabilities concerning business requirements and recommends solutions that improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Creates and documents technical and functional requirements, including infrastructure, security, and network aspects, to support business initiatives and system enhancements.
• Resolves application and user-related issues, conducts root cause analysis, and suggests improvements to enhance system performance and user productivity.
• Develops workflow diagrams and documentation to represent current and future states, aiding solution design and disaster recovery strategies.
• Formulates and maintains data mapping and integration documentation, ensuring consistency with system requirements and the accuracy of third-party service configurations.
• Collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to execute system upgrades and integrations, ensuring adherence to business, regulatory, and industry standards, including MISMO.
• Designs and implements system upgrades, including configuration adjustments such as business rules, roles, fields, and system settings that do not necessitate development resources.
• Engages in deployment activities and executes production validation to confirm the accuracy of changes and minimal operational disruption.
• Conducts ad hoc technical analysis and aids in resolving production issues, using SQL and system knowledge to troubleshoot outages and data-related problems.
• Offers mortgage product and pricing expertise to facilitate data mapping and integration analysis using loan data and payload structures like JSON and XML.
• Develops and implements test plans based on requirements, including both positive and negative scenarios, ensuring traceability and coverage of functional changes.
• Conducts functional and regression testing, logs and tracks defects, and communicates severity, priority, and business impact to stakeholders.
• Follows change management, work management, and SOX/audit compliance protocols while maintaining accurate updates in tracking tools.
• Regularly communicates status, risks, and progress to stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
• Builds cross-functional relationships to collect requirements, resolve issues, and support delivery objectives.
• Develops a working knowledge of business domains, applications, and technologies to pinpoint dependencies, risks, and obstacles.
• Collaborates with project and scrum teams to estimate workloads, define scope, and support delivery timelines.
• Appropriately escalates risks and barriers to minimize their impact on delivery and operational performance.
• Contributes to team deliverables, engages in agile ceremonies, and completes assigned tasks within established timelines.
• Pursues ongoing professional development through training, collaborative forums, and self-directed learning to enhance individual and team capabilities.
• Undertakes other duties as assigned.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in technical analysis.
• Prior experience in documenting application flow charts and/or diagrams.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Access and/or SQL.
• Proven ability to influence operations and drive change through collaboration and effective communication.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and curious.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively with others.
• Highly organized with excellent time-management skills.
• Extensive knowledge of hardware, software, and system integration.
• High capacity for learning new technologies and tools.
• Critical thinker with a logical approach to problem-solving.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with the ability to manage expectations and articulate technical details.
• Knowledge of mortgage origination is preferred but not mandatory.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualifications.
