This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• This position will act as a reliable advisor to Planet customers as they strive to balance their operational demands with the necessity to demonstrate compliance with one or more formal risk management frameworks in projects related to CMMC.
• The Consultant will create (for new systems/environments) and/or enhance policies, plans, processes, procedures, plans of action, milestones, and other documentation in CJIS and FedRAMP environments.
• Accountable for interviewing customer personnel, presenting findings, conducting security assessments of systems/environments, and providing educational resources regarding compliance to customers.
• Perform compliance audits, assessments, and gap analyses to pinpoint areas needing improvement.
• Work collaboratively to develop policies and procedures that help customers adhere to compliance mandates.
• Assist in forming and standardizing service offerings in line with industry trends.
• Advance your career by utilizing the latest tools and technologies to support Planet’s expanding roster of high-profile clients.
• Influence the future of Planet’s service offerings and client strategies; embody Planet’s values in daily interactions with customers and excel in the delivery of your assigned projects by effectively communicating and showcasing your work.
• Experience: Over 5 years with various compliance standards including but not limited to CMMC, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), CIS, HIPAA, CJIS, and FedRAMP compliance experience.
• A Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field is preferred.
• Certification in at least two relevant areas (e.g., security, compliance, project management), ideally with CCP and/or CCA certification.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft capabilities that support compliance within Azure and Office 365.
• Proficiency in regulatory compliance, cloud security and compliance, and Microsoft compliance tools.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp attention to detail.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to work collaboratively in a team setting and independently when necessary.
• Ability to effectively engage with Compliance SMEs, Technical Architects, Sales, and Planet customers.
• Establish and maintain a reputation as a trusted advisor to both colleagues and Planet’s customers.
• A proven track record of success in a collaborative work environment with enthusiastic peers and supportive leaders.
• Willingness to travel as required by customer requests.
• Ability to obtain and maintain basic security clearance.
